JOB DESCRIPTION:
Being a member of our team entails the following responsibilities: Providing friendly and professional customer service, including the ability and desire to speak with and educate customers about our food and beverages, accurate cashiering/cash handling, cleaning, doing dishes, opening and/or closing, and food and drink preparation, including barista duties. You should have the the ability to communicate well with teammates and customers, a willingness to learn, and the initiative to contribute to a hard working, established team environment. The right attitude is everything, so although previous experience in customer service or food service is very helpful, we will happily train the right person, regardless of experience.
Starting compensation is hourly at Massachusetts minimum wage, plus your share of tips, and opportunities exist for qualified and successful individuals to increase your compensation through additional training and responsibility as early as 30-90 days after starting.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* FT: Applicants 18+ are preferred, but we will consider applicants 16 or over with a non-traditional school schedule/GED that allows them to meet the necessary availability. PT: Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, and a work permit is required for those 17 years or younger.
* Applicants should be committed to reliable work, and display this commitment by showing up for work regularly, on time, and as scheduled, and by working diligently while on shift.
* All positions REQUIRE Friday AND Saturday availability, as these are our two busiest days, and all staff work a share of Friday & Saturday evenings. Sunday hours are also available and we always welcome bringing another enthusiastic member on board our Sunday team!
* All applicants should be able to speak, read and write in English, have the ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours, reach, bend, twist and lift (up to 50 lbs on occasion), as well as the ability to communicate effectively via email, text, apps and willingness to learn to use our iPad based POS system.
* Successful candidates will be reliable, responsible, possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn, a desire to help wherever needed, and the ability to contribute to our team environment by providing superior customer service and high quality work on each shift.
* Successful members of our team commit to knowledge of our menu and products and are always attentive to food safety and food handling procedures in addition to being able to easily adapt to a dynamic role within a fast paced environment.
